Further Information

  • This tiny ski area was surely a strong contender for the smallest ski area in Japan and the shortest ski lift
    　
  • It called itself a 'mini ski area'
    　
  • ....and 'snowball fight area'
    　
  • The rope tow lift and gentle slope were less than 50m in length
    　
  • The ski area seems to have been closed since 2020, but the rope tow might have been closed before then
    　
  • The lift is no longer there, but the small hut where the lift started is (and can be seen in the above photos)
    　
  • It is still shown on the nearby map signage
    　
  • The name of the ski area comes from the facility it is located next to, a kind of folklore and agricultural museum
    　
  • The area just below the slope is now used as a campsite called Denshoukan Tent Base  伝承館テントベース
