吉川六角山スキー場 新潟県上越市

Yoshikawa Rokkakuyama was a small ski area located in the Yoshikawa region of what is now Joetsu City. This ski area was just behind the local Junior High School. The north-facing slope was serviced by one rope tow lift which has now been removed. Yoshikawa Rokkakuyama closed in March 2006.

Further Information

  • Yoshikawa Rokkakuyama was located behind the Joetsu Shiritsu Yoshikawa Junior High School  上越市立吉川中学校
     
  • A one day lift ticket was 700 yen
     
  • In the 2005-2006 season, just 361 people used this ski area
     
  • It was unable to open the following season due to lack of snowfall
     
  • The bottom and top of the rope-tow lift were both covered small huts
     
  • On 1st January 2005, Yoshikawa Town became a regional autonomous district of Joetsu City
