日和田高原オケジッタスキー場 岐阜県高山市
Hiwada Kogen Okezitta was a ski area in what used to be Takane Village (now part of Takayama City) in Gifu Prefecture. It was very close to the border with Kiso Town in Nagano Prefecture. Often known as just Okezitta, it was one of the earlier ski areas in Japan to allow snowboarding with no restrictions. It further encouraged snowboarders to visit with a 100m half pipe. However, the number of visitors decreased when other larger - and more easily accessible - ski areas opened up to snowboarding. As a result, Hiwada Kogen Okezitta only had a short life, opening in 1993 and closing around the mid-2000s.
