高平スキー場　岐阜県郡上市

Takadaira was a small ski area in Shirotori Town, now part of Gujo City, in the northern region of Gifu Prefecture. There were three 450-500m single lifts at the ski area. The concrete foundation of at least two of the the ski lift remains but the area is now rather overgrown and they are difficult to get close to.

  • Takadaira Ski Area was a ski area in what used to be Shirotori Town 白鳥町
    　
  • Shirotori Town merged with several neighbouring towns and villages in March 2004 to become part of Gujo City
    　
  • There were three single lifts at Takadaira
    　
  • The lifts were all 450-500m in length, starting from the left, centre and right of the base area
    　
  • The exact positioning of each of the ski lifts on the aerial image is not confirmed (so a version without the 'best guess' is also provided above)
    　
  • The concrete foundations of at least two of the lifts remain, though they are surrounded by bushes and trees and difficult to get close too
    　
  • In 2023, signs are showing the area named ブラザーの森 or 高平延年の森
    　
  • However, the whole area seemed overgrown and unmaintained, and there were no people around
    　
  • There are many signs in the area cautioning about the presence of wild bears, and venturing deeper into the trees seemed unwise!
    　
  • Remains of lifts aside, it is difficult to imagine there was skiing at this location
