Tokamachi Shimin

Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture

十日町市民スキー場 新潟県十日町市

Tokamachi Shimin was a ski area located to the south of the central area of Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture. Shimin basically means ‘operated by the city’. Tokamachi Shimin was mostly used by locals and it was popular for night skiing. Apart from the concrete base of the lift, there is little sign now that there was a ski area in this location.
