Rausu Chomin
Rausu Town, Hokkaido
羅臼町民スキー場 北海道羅臼町
Rausu Chomin was a ski area located in Rausu Town in the northeastern region of Hokkaido. It was Japan’s easternmost ski area and offered eastern facing views looking over the Rausu fishing port, Nemuro Strait and Kunashir Island. The ski area has been closed since 2008 but the ski lifts remain in place. The Shiretoko Rausu Noasobi Field (camp site facility) can now be found at the location.
